Dele Olojede is the founder of Timbuktu Media, which is building a platform-agnostic information company in Nigeria and the rest of Africa, including newspapers and digital products. The only African to win the Pulitzer Prize and a former foreign editor at New York Newsday, he is a frequent public speaker on governance issues and the forces driving change in Africa in the 21st Century. He is a member of the governing board of the Aspen Institute's Africa Leadership Initiative, and serves on the international advisory board of the Global Integrity Alliance. He served twice on the jury of the Pulitzer Prizes and the Alicia Paterson Fellowship. He also was on the board of the National Press Foundation in Washington. Olojede also was bureau chief for New York Newsday in Johannesburg, in Beijing, and at the United Nations. He has reported from more than 50 countries and his work has appeared in more than 150 publications around the world. He was educated at the University of Lagos and Columbia University in the City of New York, though all he ever needed to know he learned at Modakeke High. He also completed the senior executive program at the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University. He persists at golf despite very little hope of ever getting very good at it.
Tunde Hassan-Odukale is presently the Executive Director in charge of Investments, Financial Services and IT Systems At Leadway Assurance Company Limited, overseeing their Life Insurance, Asset Management, Training & Finance, as well as Information Technology Operations.
He holds a Bachelors Degree in Pure Mathematics and a postgraduate Diploma in Actuarial Science. He attended The Advanced Management Program of Lagos Business School and is an ordinary member of both the Royal Society of Mathematics and Pensions Management Institute. He is accredited by the Securities and Exchange Commission as an Investment Adviser and Portfolio Manager. He has attended several courses locally and abroad on Investment Management and Portfolio design. He is a Director of Stanbic Bank Nigeria Limited, Union Assurance Limited (Subsidiary of Union Bank of Nigeria) and Total Health Trust Limited, a health Management Company. Apart from his finance background, Mr. Hassan-Odukale has a strong bias for Information Technology. Educated at Queen Mary College, University of London and City University, London, Mr. Odukale's career, spans well over 15 years.
Dominique Senequier is Chief Executive Officer of AXA Private Equity, the investment buyout arm of French insurer AXA Group. She joined the AXA Group in 1996 and founded AXA Private Equity, which she built up steadily and gradually. Today, the company manages and advises 26 billion US dollars of assets thanks to a team of 235 employees based in 8 offices across the world. She began her career at the French Insurance Commission, where she worked from 1975 until 1980. She joined GAN in 1980 where she worked until 1996, in reinsurance, international development and private equity.
Dominique Senequier graduated from Ecole Polytechnique in 1972 and holds a DEA (post-graduate degree) in Banking and Monetary Economics from the Sorbonne University. She is a member of the French Actuarial Institute.
In her most recent role as Managing Director of Avante Property Asset Management Services, she led the development/promotion of Real Estate Investment Trusts (REITs) on the NSE. She also established a research and analysis unit focused on the Nigeria real estate sector, providing real estate business information services for professionals and investors. Prior to Avante, Jumoke spent 8 years at Shell Trustees Nig. Ltd. where she was responsible for managing the Pension Fund's real estate developments (valued at US$ 71 million).
'Tokunboh has worked in the USA, UK and Africa. In her most recent role as Managing Director of Avante Capital Ltd, she advised on a number of acquisitions in the oil and gas sector including the acquisition and financing of a government owned refinery and led the first secondary listing of a Nigerian company on the Johannesburg Stock Exchange. Prior to Avante, she was the Nigeria Country Partner, for Aureos Capital where she successfully raised funding to complete a $50m fundraising exercise for the Aureos West Africa Fund; and sourced private equity investments. Other previous roles include M&A banker at Salomon Smith Barney. 'Tokunboh is a Chartered Financial Analyst and a member of the CFA Institute; a member of the board of the African Venture Capital Association and a panelist on the TV show, Dragons' Den Nigeria.
